About our Client:

We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental Manager reporting directly to the Managing Director who will have responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the Health, Safety & Environmental activities, driving a positive culture whilst ensuring compliance with required statutory obligations. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the Health & Safety Culture Development, providing support and guidance to Leaders at all levels of the business. They will also be required to ensure that the company is a safe working environment for all employees and activities, using best practice to improve safety and minimise environmental impact.


What will the responsibilities be of the H/S/E Manager be?
  1. Ensure statutory compliance obligations in all areas pertaining to Environmental, health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  2. Management of ISO 45001 & 14001 certifications.
  3. Lead the business in cultural continual improvement strategy and development of a positive health, safety and environmental culture.
  4. Managing key Targets and objectives and driving a continuous improvement programme.
  5. Managing and development of the Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator.
  6. Leading the Health & Safety Committee to drive best practices and employee engagement.
  7. Lead role in the company’s disaster recovery plan for Health Safety & Environmental.
What skills, experience and qualifications will the H/S/E Manager need?
  1. Knowledge of Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental regulations is essential.
  2. Experience in manufacturing and engineering businesses would be advantageous.
  3. Nebosh National General Certification.
