HSE Coordinator

Salary up to £35,000 DOE


About our Client:

An exciting vacancy has arisen within the Health, Safety and Environmental Department of our client based in Ilfracombe. We are offering an opportunity to contribute to the growth of our Health and Safety compliance and culture, playing a vital role in shaping a safer and more sustainable future for our client. The successful applicant will support the HSE Manager to ensure that the company is a safe working environment for all employees and activities, using best practice to improve safety and minimise environmental impact.


What will the responsibilities be of the HSE Coordinator?
  1. General Administration, updating and tracking of all internal and external HSE databases, dashboards and spreadsheets
  2. Ensure statutory compliance monitoring, reporting and administration obligations in Health Safety & Environmental are met
  3. Administration of ISO 45001 & 14001 certifications and supporting internal & external auditing
  4. Support the business in cultural continual improvement strategy and development of a positive health, safety and environmental culture
  5. Monitor and report key Targets and Objective and support a continuous improvement programme
  6. Support the Health & Safety Committee to drive best practices and employee engagement
  7. Administration of the Occupational Health function and process in collaboration with HR
  8. Work with the HSE Manager and Leaders at all levels of the business to develop a positive and engaging Health and Safety culture
What skills, experience and qualifications will the HSE coordinator need?
  1. Knowledge of Statutory Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and experience in manufacturing and engineering businesses would be advantageous.
  2. Experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferable
  3. Strong Excel competence and written reporting skills
  4. Nebosh certificate in occupational safety and health, working towards or equivalent
  5. Recognised environmental qualifications appropriate to the role (Desired)
