My client is a well-known brand in the power generation industry. After recently winning a large package of works, they are looking for a number of people to complete their works on site in North Wales, including an HSE Advisor to oversee compliance and promote good practices across the project.

THE ROLE OF HSE ADVISOR

1. Management of the implementation of the Health & Safety and environmental management system on the project.
2. Advising all onsite project staff of any HSE best practices as needed.
3. Conducting toolbox meetings with all on-site staff.
4. Coordinating HS&E updates for project and site leadership teams and liaising with other locations.
5. Working closely with the site manager to ensure adherence to H&S and Environmental plans and regulations.
6. Championing health and safety and promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
7. Preparing and issuing H&S NCRs on-site as necessary to internal staff and subcontractors.

THE RIGHT HSE ADVISOR

1. A proven track record in a similar role overseeing infrastructure projects.
2. A qualified HSE Advisor with NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications.
3. Additional certifications to work on construction sites (ECS cards, CSCS, etc.).
4. An expert understanding of current Health and Safety Legislation and its application in a construction environment.
5. A good understanding of ISO 14001, 9001, and 18001.
