Job description

We are excited to partner with a leading food production company in the recruitment of a HSE Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected organisation.

Location: Dungannon
Contract: 12-month fixed-term (Monday - Friday), possibility of extension.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that health and safety procedures are effectively implemented across multiple company sites. You will work closely with teams across the business to foster a strong safety culture, drive compliance, and reduce workplace risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct regular safety inspections and assess workplace hazards to identify risks and implement controls to ensure a safe environment.
  2. Investigate incidents, track safety metrics, and provide solutions to minimise workplace accidents.
  3. Oversee the implementation of H&S policies, risk assessments, and auditing systems across three sites.
  4. Develop and deliver training programmes to staff at all levels to build and promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
  5. Stay up to date with H&S regulations and legislation, ensuring compliance across the business.
  6. Engage with employees through consultations, keeping them informed of health and safety practices and their role in maintaining a safe environment.
  7. Identify training requirements and organise relevant health & safety sessions as needed.
  8. Provide advice and guidance to management and staff on health and safety matters.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  2. NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
  3. Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements
