Role - HRIS Manager

Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

Salary: £45,250 to £60,000 (dependent on experience)

As the HRIS Manager you will lead a team of HR professionals in the maintenance and administration of the AWE Learning Management System (including Competency Management); providing the relevant technical expertise to ensure that services meet customer needs and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR functional activities required to ensure the ongoing provision of fit for purpose Software as a Service (SaaS) HRIS platforms to meet business requirements.
  • Lead the assessment, validation and implementation of vendor-driven upgrades (and approved change initiatives) of HRIS platforms.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders in accordance with agreed SLAs and principles.
  • Deliver a support capability to research and resolve HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in respect of HR data.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.

While not to be considered a checklist, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:

  • Analytical skills and thinking - comfortable with the use and interpretation of data from a variety of sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present to a variety of stakeholders in various situations.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • Reporting and report writing.
  • Expert coaching skills and ability to inspire trust and confidence in others.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Validation of data & process.
  • The coaching and development of System and learning Administrators.
  • Experience of Administering HR Systems (e.g. Saba Cloud), capable of contrasting the benefits and challenges that SaaS HR Systems present over non-cloud-based HR systems.
  • Experience in improvement and development work across HRIS and processes.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience of driving results in a multi-faceted, demand-led environment.

This job role is suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.
