HR Specialist (Fixed-term)

It takes a special kind of drive to keep the world moving; and due to growth, DSV is looking to recruit. DSV are recruiting for HR Specialist in the Northamptonshire area. This role will be reporting into one of the Senior HR Managers. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to join our team. The HR Specialist will play a key role in supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture. Each day will be different, and you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact, deliver great customer service to your stakeholders and stretch yourself with your own personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for Team Leaders, Supervisors and Managers on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
• Support the HR Team and Senior HR Managers in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
• Identify ways to improve policies and procedures.
• Support the training and development of people managers on HR related areas, including Inductions, Disciplinaries, Investigations etc.
• Support the Senior Managers with ad-hoc priorities.
• Prepare administration, including disciplinary invites, outcomes, absence reviews, terminations, severance letters and TUPE.

Skills and Competencies

• Previous experience in a HR Admin, or HR Advisor role.
• Understanding of HR Best practice and current regulations.
• Sound judgement and problem solving skills.
• Customer focused attitude with high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Work on own initiative, prioritise and manage workload effectively.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication skills.
