HR Officer - HR Direct

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide timely and professional HR advice and support to internal and external customers, including schools.
2. Assist managers and headteachers with effective HR tools and guidance to manage performance.
3. Contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures that safeguard the Council and its employees.
4. Act as the first point of contact for HR, pay, and employment queries.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Education to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or relevant HR experience.

Skills Required:

1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences.
2. Ability to handle complex HR queries and provide pragmatic solutions.
3. Have an awareness of employment legislation and its application in a diverse workforce.
4. Proficiency in IT systems, including Word and Excel.
