HR Officer - Manufacturing Industry

Macclesfield, starting salary £38,000 with career progression to site HR Manager within 12 months.

We are currently recruiting for an HR Officer to join our client's team in the manufacturing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a CIPD Level 5 certification and at least 4 years of experience in a HR role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vital support to the HR team, with a clear progression path to the role of HR Manager.

As an HR Officer, you will be required to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills. Your ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the business will be crucial, as will your dedication to delivering excellent customer service. Your reliability and capacity to plan and prioritise a varied workload, while remaining flexible and responsive to emerging issues, will significantly contribute to your success.

In this role, you will interact confidently with staff and managers at all levels. Your exemplary listening skills and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a non-judgemental manner will be highly valued. It is essential that you stay up to date with HR legislation, interpreting and applying it effectively within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver the HR function within this well established and professional organisation
  2. Administer HR processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  3. Respond to employee queries, offering guidance and support
  4. Assist with recruitment and selection processes
  5. Facilitate the onboarding and induction of new employees
  6. Contribute to the development and delivery of HR initiatives and projects
  7. Collaborate with the HR Manager in the implementation of HR strategies
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  9. Proactively stay informed about changes and developments in HR legislation
  10. Provide employee relations assistance, ensuring fair and consistent practice

Requirements:
  1. CIPD Level 5 certification
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a HR role
  3. Strong administrative and organisational skills
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  5. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  6. Proactive approach and ability to work independently
  7. Knowledge of HR legislation and best practice
