HR Officer

HR Officer required for a FTC of up to 12 months paying up to £40k pa DOE. 37.5 hours working week, Monday to Friday.

Our client is looking for an HR Officer to work under the HR Manager for a period of between 6 - 12 months. This role will require you to be based in the office 5 days a week in order that you can react to situations and answer queries as they arise.

This is an all-round role which will involve the full scope of an HR person's duties such as:

1. Interpreting and advising on day-to-day employment law concerns.
2. Supporting department managers with regards to salaries, redundancies, etc.
3. Supporting department managers to ensure that company employment policies adhere to UK laws & regulations.
4. Assisting with the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
5. Ensuring communication is handled sensitively with regards to salary, pension & benefits.
6. Helping to develop programmes that enhance employee relations.
7. Dealing with grievances & implementing disciplinary procedures.
8. Organising, attending and taking minutes of meetings.

The successful HR Officer will need to have the following skills/experience for their application to be successful:

1. Qualified to Level 3 - CIPD.
2. Previous working experience within a generalist HR role.
3. Comprehensive understanding of employment law.
