The Company

Our client is an established, family-run business that supplies a wide range of pharmaceutical and healthcare products.

They are now looking for an HR Officer to join them on a full-time, fixed-term basis for a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As an HR Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring company policies are upheld while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace environment.

You will support recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with UK employment laws and best practices. Acting as a key point of contact for HR queries, you will provide guidance on policies, payroll, benefits, and career development while maintaining employee records.

Working closely with managers, you will promote equality, diversity, and health and safety initiatives, assist with performance management, and support disciplinary and grievance procedures.

About You

To be considered as an HR Officer, you will need:

  • At least 12 months experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and handle sensitive situations with professionalism
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with keen attention to detail
  • The ability to work collaboratively and advise managers on HR matters
  • A CIPD Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice - Level 3
