We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Officer to join the team at The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.
Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh with a capacity of up to 500 along with our One Square Restaurant and bar and the award-winning ONE SPA.
As HR Officer, you will handle and resolve Human Resources issues and strategy; assist employees with requests and procedures; lead and assist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues. You will be responsible, alongside the HR Coordinator, to ensure background checks are completed and that end-to-end recruitment processes and projects, whilst managing the recruitment budget effectively, are carried out. Duties will also include the creation and maintenance of new hire and personnel files, assisting with orientation of new employees and other training responsibilities, including reporting. Process payroll and manage queries. Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interview documents). Lead and advise on Employee Relation issues. Assist in the creation and implementation of policy and procedure. Carry out change management duties and assist with reward and recognition. You will manage the day-to-day of the office in the absence of the HR Manager and assist and support the HR Coordinator with their duties. A full job description is available on request.
