Success Recruit are currently working with a well-established and reputable distributor within the construction industry, who are looking to recruit an Office Manager with HR Expertise to provide hands-on office support for their team based in Kent.
The successful HR / Office Manager will work closely with the Managing Director, acting as an integral senior member of staff managing the efficiency and daily operation of the office & employees. This position will be suited to a 'people-person' with expertise in office/people management, operations, and HR.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate previous office / commercial awareness working in a growing business supporting management and the smooth operation of the office daily
- Work closely with the team, embracing culture & supporting everyone to reach their potential & support with progression long term
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal
- Demonstrate excellent efficiency, organisation, and attention to detail
The HR / Office Manager will be managing the day-to-day running and organisation of the office environment & team, with a particular focus on HR support and implementing processes and structure.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Review, improve & implement new processes and office procedures where it will add value
- Review & prepare weekly & monthly performance reports reflecting targets, margins etc
- Attend weekly / monthly directors' meetings
- Arrange & conduct regular 1 to 1's with staff members
- Support with new starters, onboarding and recruitment administration to include job descriptions, offer letters, references & liaising with preferred recruiter
- Support managing business growth with employment structure
- Work closely with management team on training requirements as required
- Manage day to day HR administration including holiday, sickness, absences
- Manage internal staff queries, supporting them in making effective decision-making for the future with customer enquiries
- Manage day to day office operations to ensure the smooth running
- Occasionally attend trade shows to represent the business alongside director and team
This position will suit someone who enjoys working within a professional, supportive, and collaborative working environment. Confident working closely with the MD and having experience in a previous position similar would benefit the successful applicant, along with effective communication and the ability to take responsibility as the position grows.
Hours:
Monday to Friday (core office hours between 7.30am - 4.30pm - flexible start time, latest finish 4:30pm)
Salary:
£35 - £43k dependant on experience
