Job description

HR Manager
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire (with travel to other sites)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE

Do you have CIPD Level 5 (or higher) and a proven track record in HR leadership?

Are you ready to lead and develop a high-performing HR department for a trusted name in manufacturing technology?

Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where compliance, innovation, and people management intersect?

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a well-established multi-national company at a pivotal point in their journey. Purchasing more companies and growing exponentially, you’ll have the chance to develop as an HR professional like never before. It’s also an opportunity to step into a business that values its people and is looking for a leader to help them grow and thrive.

The Role

You will oversee everything from payroll and compliance to recruitment and employee development, all while ensuring the business runs smoothly and legally. Whilst working closely with directors and managers, you’ll build a high-performing, values-driven culture across the business, ensuring growth and development continues. Further to this, you can expect to:

  1. Ensure compliance with employment law, equality legislation, and health and safety regulations
  2. Maintain HR systems (Bright HR and Peninsula) while handling employee records and data analytics
  3. Oversee budgeting, pension scheme administration, and collaboration with external auditors

The Ideal Candidate

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in, whether it’s onboarding a new starter, reviewing a policy, or advising senior leaders on strategic workforce planning. Further to this, as our ideal candidate you will have:

  1. Solid experience in HR leadership ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  2. CIPD Level 5 qualification (or higher)
  3. Strong knowledge in employment law, payroll processes, and compliance standards
  4. Familiarity with systems like Bright HR or Peninsula would be a bonus, but what really matters is your drive, adaptability, and passion for making a difference
