Job description

Based in the heart of Leamington Spa, Pixel Toys have spent almost a decade pushing the capabilities of mobile gaming. We have developed multiple award-winning titles, including: Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War; and we’re now excited to be exclusively working on a new game, unlike ANYTHING we’ve done previously!

As a forward thinking and innovative studio we are always looking for new technologies and techniques to develop and use in our games and make them even more engaging experiences for our customers.

We are excited to continue to grow our team and are always on the lookout for highly talented and motivated individuals, who are passionate about gaming and excited to join us on our ambitious journey!

The Role:

Join us as a HR Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day HR operations, acting as a Line Manager and providing expert advice and support in line with Company values, policies and Employment Law.

Act as a key point of contact for complex HR issues, offering clear, step-by-step guidance to ensure consistency, fairness, and legal compliance. This role is instrumental in leading formal HR investigations, grievances, and disciplinary hearings, while also managing absence cases, liaising with Occupational Health providers, and coordinating reasonable workplace adjustments.

As our newly appointed HR Manager you will also be responsible for developing and updating HR policies, keeping up to date with employment legislation, and supporting the implementation of employee wellness initiatives and surveys. Additionally, you will coordinate training and development programs, manage learning platforms, and deliver ad-hoc HR training sessions.

Supporting the Head of HR & Culture, this role will contribute to strategic projects, process improvements, and will deputise when necessary to ensure continuity and drive forward a positive workplace culture.

About you:

With CIPD Level 5 qualification, you will join us with proven experience in leading investigations, hearings, and dispute resolutions. You will have hands-on expertise in managing absence cases and supporting employees through health-related challenges. A strong grasp of UK Employment Law is essential, along with the ability to apply legislation in a fair, practical, and proportionate manner.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is a high level of attention to detail and the utmost respect for confidentiality.

You will also have a history of making sound, consistent decisions while demonstrating empathy and a people-first mindset.
