Key Accountabilities:

  1. Recruitment & Selection: The role of HR Manager will review all recruitment processes and practices to ensure all vacancies are filled in the most cost-efficient way and within the shortest time possible. The HR function will be responsible for identifying effective and appropriate recruitment methods for all vacancies.
  2. Employee Relations: The HR Manager will be responsible for designing and developing the workforce strategy, taking a lead on all Employee related issues including:
    1. Advising and supporting managers on all Employee Relations issues, including performance management; sickness & absence; disciplinary & grievance procedures.
    2. Ensuring the grievance and disciplinary procedures are adhered to by all staff and empowering the Operations Team to undertake investigations & hearings.
    3. Monitoring, updating and advising staff and managers on HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are adhered to and effectively communicated across the organisation.
    4. Reviewing and updating the equality and diversity strategy, making recommendations on best practice and legislation.
    5. Monitoring staff turnover and ensuring that exit interviews are carried out, analysing and reporting on findings.
  3. Management Responsibility: As the HR lead, you will ensure the HR Department is always customer-focused, delivering a good service to the organisation.
  4. Staff Training & Development: Working closely with the senior team to develop staff skills including highlighting needs and recommendations made through the staff appraisal process.
  5. HR Policy & Procedures: To ensure terms and conditions and policies and procedures are up-to-date and comprehensive with regard to legislation and best practice.

  2. Strong written skills with proven ability to draft policies, procedures, and reports.
  3. Good coaching & mentoring skills.
  4. Delivery-focused with the ability to prioritise and organise workload agreed within deadlines.
  5. Ability to resolve conflict situations and manage heavy workloads.
