As our business continues to grow, we now have a unique opportunity for HR Manager (Head Office) to join our team in Gateshead.

As Our HR Manager (Head Office) You Will Also
  • Lead and manage the delivery of our advisory service, supporting on cases related to disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and more.
  • Provide expert advice on key HR matters including flexible working, maternity/paternity leave, performance management, and probation periods.
  • Manage colleague related Data Subject Access Requests, implement employment law policy changes throughout the Group.
  • Support complex cases and appeals, working closely with the Senior Employee Relations Manager.
  • Attend Employment Tribunals when required, preparing bundles and providing support for case resolution.
  • Support the contract management of the Groups occupational health provider.
  • Support on strategic projects and initiatives as determined by the Senior Employee Relations Manager, Head of HR and Group HR Director.

We are seeking a proactive, commercially-focused individual who can offer risk-based advice, ensuring outcomes align with our Group Values, HR best practices, and governance framework. As a key member of the team, you will travel as needed to support face-to-face case management, with the flexibility to be based in Gateshead at least three days per week.

Skills And Experience
  • Experience managing complex and difficult Employee Relations cases.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Employment Legislation and be able to advise the Group accordingly.
  • Competent in the use of HR systems such as case management database, advanced Excel and Word, use of all Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to accurately analyse data, draw conclusions and make recommendations for improvement from findings.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, excellent communications skills, verbally and in writing.
  • Understanding of the Employment Tribunal system.
  • A team player with the ability to build strong working relationships across the Group.
  • Experience of managing colleagues and/or demonstratable examples of coaching/mentoring junior team members.
