Job description

My client is an East London based school, looking to recruit an HR Manager to work in close proximity with the School Business Manager and Headteacher, to oversee the school's HR function.

Overseeing a small team, this role will lead on operational HR support for the school, acting as the primary point of contact for all staff on HR matters across the full employee lifecycle, to include:

  1. ER management
  2. Casework
  3. Appraisals and performance management
  4. Training and development
  5. Policy compliance across the school including any employment law changes

Applications are sought from HR candidates with a strong generalist background and strong ER experience. CIPD qualifications are strongly preferred, and whilst experience in the education sector would be an advantage, those who can bring innovation and creativity on people practice from other sectors are very welcomed to apply. With a strong results-oriented focus, you will be able to balance day-to-day activities with the timely delivery of key HR projects. The successful candidate will also possess a high level of diplomacy and tact as well as the ability to lead a small team.
