HR Manager Role
Location: Central London
Full Time, Fully site based
Permanent basis

I am currently working with a large contractor in the recruiting of a HR Manager to oversee one of their London sites. You will report directly to a Director and will look after the following:

  1. Recruiting staff, writing job descriptions, checking application forms, creating candidate shortlists and conducting primary interviews
  2. Devising and implementing policies to select, develop and retain staff
  3. Overseeing staff welfare
  4. Working closely with other departments to implement policies and procedures
  5. Promoting equality and diversity within the business
  6. Overseeing health and safety policies
  7. Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
  8. Advising on pay, promotion and benefits, including sick pay, paternity and maternity pay
  9. Carrying out salary reviews
  10. Negotiating with staff and their representatives (for example, trade union officials)
  11. Administering payroll
  12. Handling staff complaints, grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures
  13. Working in an office
