An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated HR Manager to lead a team within a fast-paced and ever-evolving FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on operational professional with a strategic mindset and an ability to drive HR initiatives.

Our client is a well-established SME within the FMCG industry. Based Blackburn way, they are renowned for their commitment to quality and their value-driven approach to business.


Description

As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives in line with the overall business strategy.

You will also play a critical role in managing and optimising the full employee lifecycle for the manufacturing division. This role will oversee:

  1. Recruitment
  2. Employee relations
  3. Performance management
  4. Training
  5. Compliance
  6. The overall well-being of the workforce

Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Implementing and managing employee recognition programs to enhance morale and retention.
  2. Developing and implementing strategies for improving employee performance, engagement, and productivity.
  3. Supporting leadership development initiatives to cultivate a strong leadership pipeline.
  4. Conducting regular audits to ensure adherence to workplace safety, labor laws, and company policies.
  5. Advocating for employee well-being, including mental health support, work-life balance initiatives, and wellness programs.
  6. Collaborating with leadership to design and manage compensation and benefits programs.
  7. Ensuring competitive salary structures and benefits offerings in line with industry standards.
  8. Overseeing payroll processes and resolving any payroll-related issues.
  9. Analysing HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
  10. Preparing regular HR reports for senior leadership, providing insights into employee turnover, retention, satisfaction, and other key metrics.

Profile

A successful HR Manager will have:

  1. Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  2. Proven ability to manage recruitment, employee relations, and performance management processes in a fast-paced, unionised and operationally focused environment.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  5. Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS, payroll systems) and MS Office Suite.
  6. Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to influence and support teams across various departments.
  7. High level of emotional intelligence, able to navigate complex employee situations and provide practical solutions.
  8. Strong business acumen and understanding of how HR practices impact the manufacturing and operational goals of the business.
  9. A proactive, hands-on approach to driving improvements in HR processes and programs.

Job Offer

An attractive salary range of approximately £50,000- £55,000 depending on experience.
