Job Description
This AA International Strategic Project Lead is the trusted partner to the AA International Business, helping to shape culture, support business strategies and identify and develop the talent necessary to make a remarkable impact on the business. This role will lead International HR strategic projects and initiatives, partnering with the International AA BHR Team and COE.
The role reports to Head of Human Resources, AA International and sits on the AAHR International Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Partner with AA International HR Head and AA HR Leadership Team strategically and proactively to determine and prioritize business strategies and key projects, initiatives, and related processes.
- Ensure a clear translation of global HR strategies/processes to integrated execution plans across International AA HR Teams.
- Partner with International and Area HR stakeholders (Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations) to ensure development, coordination, and seamless delivery of HR processes across International AA.
- Lead the delivery of HR projects & initiatives from the design process through to a finished state in order to achieve agreed upon outcomes and complete implementation.
- Assist or lead proposals and recommendations to resolve strategically important issues affecting business/HR function. Prioritize projects based on business needs and available resources.
- Plan, coordinate, and keep contents to ensure focused meeting cadences and outcomes across the International AA HR Team. Coordinate monthly AA International HRLT Meeting, All HR International AA Meeting, Best Practice Forum, etc.
- Partner with AA International HR Leadership Team to create executive-level presentations and metrics that convey a strong story that supports the organizational strategic priorities.
- Track and share monthly/quarterly KPIs on talent, performance, EED&I, etc., with suggested actions. Able to understand and utilize historical and broad organizational data when weighing business decisions and actions.
- Responsible for HR-related communications across AA International. Manage AA International Organizational Announcements process.
- Provide expert consultative and problem-solving services to managers, employees, and other HR functions regarding HR policies and practices, performance/talent management, etc.
- Support activation of engagement initiatives for the Culture Week, Week of Possibilities, and Empow(HER) and the like.

- Proven record of success in HR-related positions, HR project management, or other HR fields with a proven track record in project management, talent, business partnership, etc.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills, able to navigate a complex matrix organization.
- Self-starter/ability to function autonomously with a solution-oriented approach.
