An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HR Generalist to join our client, a leading global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil & Simple based at their manufacturing facility in Burton upon Trent, Derbyshire.
This is a full-time temporary role for 12 Months, working a 39 hour week, to start ASAP, this role will be based on site, paying up to £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.

Role Purpose:
As a HR Generalist, you will be the primary contact for all line managers and employees, providing clear and consistent application of employee policies and practices and creating positive key employee moments such as onboarding, career growth, and time off. You will be part of the Employee Experience team, striving to create and deliver slick processes for every employee journey.
Key Responsibilities:
The HR Generalist will directly impact each key stage of an employee's lifecycle and positively influence the employee experience at critical career moments. Key responsibilities include:
- Guide Leaders and HRBPs in relation to HR policies and procedures (such as performance improvement, discipline, grievances, absence management, etc.), coaching them through the process and ensuring they understand legal requirements.
- Take a proactive approach to employee relations, reviewing data, spotting trends, recommending solutions, and coaching Line Managers to tackle problems before they grow.
- Manage onboarding, job moves, and exit employee engagement, owning the end-to-end employee cycle and acting as a single point of contact for employees.
- Provide coaching and support to line managers in employee experience, empowering employees to thrive and championing positive health and wellbeing.
- Work with teams across HR (HRBPs, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, etc.), providing support and subject matter expertise to address queries or problems.
Skills & Experience:
You’ll have experience in employee relations and case management, including knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations:
- Great attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills, and a passion for delivering excellent customer experience.
- Experience in handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy, comfortable having difficult conversations, and working discreetly with sensitive information.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, building relationships with trust & confidence, and the ability to influence.
- Experience of working in a unionised manufacturing environment.
