Your new company
Hays is working with a public sector organisation to recruit an HR Executive to join their team on a part-time, temporary basis. This role is anticipated to last until at least December 2025.

Your new role
As an HR executive, you will support the Head of HR across the full HR lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Supporting the Head of HR with strategy and offering advice and guidance to line managers
  2. Recruitment and staffing
  3. Take the lead on advice and guidance in employee relations matters
  4. Support with learning and development initiatives
  5. Ensure that reports are utilised effectively to meet compliance requirements

What you'll need to succeed

  1. Associate Member of the (CIPD) (previously known as Graduate Member)
  2. Working knowledge of employment legislation and good practice procedures
  3. At least two years' generalist HR experience, including significant experience in advice-giving on employment issues and contractual documentation
  4. At least two years' experience of managing discipline and grievance cases, some of which should be of a complex nature
  5. At least 1 year's experience of absence management
  6. Experience of recruitment and selection
  7. Experience of delivering training on HR-related topics e.g., absence management
  8. High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
