Job description

Job Title: HR Business Partner
Location: Southampton/Hybrid - Adhoc Travel
Contract: 14-16m FTC

JGA are partnered with a leading global business, seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join their HR team on a 14-16m FTC maternity cover.

Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver local departmental strategies for employee relations and development.
  2. Plan and execute projects.
  3. Support organisational development activities.
  4. Coach managers on change delivery (e.g., restructures, consultations).
  5. Review and update working agreements and contracts.
  6. Identify learning interventions for employees and managers.
  7. Manage employee relations casework (e.g., absence, disciplinaries, grievances).
  8. Monitor and review sickness cases with Line Managers.
  9. Administer exit questionnaires and interviews.
  10. Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  11. Review job descriptions and support recruitment processes.
  12. Participate in interviews and administer tests.
  13. Prepare offer documentation and deliver inductions.
  14. Identify skill gaps and development needs with line managers.
  15. Maintain accurate HR systems and files.
  16. Provide HR advice and coaching to ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
  17. Develop and update HR policies and procedures.
  18. Maintain strong relationships with business units, Union Representatives, and stakeholders.
  19. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HR challenges.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources / CIPD Level 7, or demonstrable experience.
  2. Proven work experience as a strategically focused HR Business Partner.
  3. Experience and proficiency working with HR Systems and data.
  4. Proven track record of successfully implementing HR strategies and initiatives that drive organisational growth and effectiveness.
  5. An analytical and proactive mindset, with the ability to leverage HR metrics and data to drive insights and influence decision-making.
  6. Attention to detail and organisational skills, with experience managing changing priorities and ambiguity.
  7. In-depth understanding and experience effectively managing complex ER cases to resolution.
  8. Experience working across the full employee lifecycle.
  9. A full UK driving licence.
  10. Eligibility to work in the UK.
