Are you an experienced HR professional with a knack for strategic influence and a passion for driving people performance? Sodexo, a leader in integrated facilities management and quality of life services, is seeking a dynamic HR Business Partner to join our Senior Leadership Team at HMP Altcourse and HMP Forest Bank. This role is critical in ensuring that our HR strategies align with the business goals, enabling our teams to thrive in a demanding environment.

What We Are Offering:

  • Competitive and negotiable salary.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Primarily site-based with opportunity to work the occasional day from home.
  • Will be eligible for bonus scheme.

Your Role as an HR Business Partner:

As an HR Business Partner at HMP Altcourse and HMP Forest Bank, you will be both a strategic architect of people solutions and a catalyst for positive change. Your role involves partnering with senior business leaders to drive and deliver HR solutions that maximise team performance and foster a culture of inclusivity. You'll play a pivotal part in regional transformation projects, ensuring that our HR strategies are not only aligned with business goals but also prepare the prisons for future success.

You'll be responsible for overseeing a diverse HR team, providing leadership and direction to ensure effective people management across the prison. This includes enhancing leadership and senior management's awareness of HR processes and systems, leading to improved business performance. You’ll also focus on data-driven decision-making, using insights to implement measurable actions that improve processes and outcomes. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the prisons, ensuring that our people resources are effectively managed to support operational excellence.

You will be expected to travel to both HMP Forest Bank and HMP Altcourse each week, dividing your time equally across both prisons.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven organisational development and design experience, with a strong focus on change processes, including both collective and individual consultation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence with integrity.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in business partnering at a senior level within a matrix organisation.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into actionable people plans, with excellent facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • CIPD qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Experience working within the justice sphere.
  • SAP HR experience.
