Job Description

Summary of the role

We are helping our client seek an experienced HR Business Partner to manage, support and develop the People Operations Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting quarterly meetings with Line Managers to discuss people related topics such as resource planning, sickness, training, performance and development for their team/department.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct 6 monthly meetings with Capability Leads.
2. Conduct quarterly meetings with line managers.
3. Be the point of contact for employees on long term sickness absence, providing guidance with regards to Bradford Factor management and ensuring that a monthly report is published to the Operations Director to help improve absence if necessary.
4. Overseeing recruitment alongside the Recruitment Advisor, managing and assisting where necessary.
5. Manage, support and develop the People Team.
6. Create, review, and update HR Policies.
7. Review, maintain and update HR forms in conjunction with the Senior People Administrator and Compliance Lead.
8. Review, maintain and update Employee Handbook.
9. Prepare monthly payroll memo to discuss with Assistant Financial Controller for new starters/leavers/amendments to contracts/Terms.
10. Be part of the ED&I Ambassador group ensuring that the company remains a fully diverse and inclusion employer. Contributing to suggestions to raise awareness of various topics and assisting in holding events.
11. Liaise and offer guidance and support to employees in relation to maternity and paternity pay.

Skills and Qualifications

1. Minimum CIPD Level 5.
2. Strong knowledge of HR best practices, Employment laws, and regulations.
3. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to develop and implement effective People strategies.
5. Experience with HR software and tools (PeopleHR).

Overview

Position - HR Business Partner - Permanent
Location - Gloucestershire (Hybrid working: 3 days on site/2 days WFH)
Salary - £38k - £42k
