Are you looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic busy HR team within a thriving London borough?

Ealing Council has an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Consultant available on a full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid basis. We need a confident, experienced HR generalist who can hit the ground running, picking up issues quickly and being able to read and interpret HR policies and procedures, advise and support managers on actions they need to undertake, with a focus on solutions, moving things on and achieving outcomes.

You will need to be approachable and good at building trusted relationships as you will be the main point of contact for staff, middle managers, senior managers, and trade union representatives.

Day-to-day, the HR Business Consultant role will:

  • advise on people management and HR issues
  • advise on employment legislation and employee relations procedures casework including appeals against dismissal
  • advise on organisational reviews, reorganisation consultation exercises, and change management/culture change
  • advise on consultation, facilitation, mediation with staff, their trade union or other workplace representatives, and other key stakeholders
  • advise on equal pay issues and undertake job evaluation casework
  • advise on HR policy, Equalities, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) approaches and best practice.

Our ideal HR Business Consultant must hold MCIPD or equivalent professional qualification in HR or have appropriate relevant HR experience in a complex organisation.
