Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for HR? We are looking for an HR Assistant to join our team in Lockington (near Derby and Nottingham) to support our HR operations and ensure smooth day-to-day processes.

FPCR are one of the country’s leading award-winning multi-disciplinary environmental design practices, established for over 65 years. Based in the pleasant setting of Lockington Hall, we are looking for an HR Assistant to provide support to our Practice Manager and the practice. The role of HR Assistant will be varied but will primarily involve providing administration support for HR.

We are looking for someone with a bright and positive personality, who has excellent interpersonal skills and is good working as part of a team. Good organisational skills and attention to detail are also required. The successful candidate will have previous HR experience, or similar transferable skills.

Responsibilities:
  1. Providing HR administration with recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  2. Maintaining and updating employee records ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate and compliant with legal requirements.
  3. Handling HR-related queries and providing administrative support, escalating issues to the Practice Manager when necessary.
  4. Coordinating training for employees, helping to schedule training, manage registrations, and update our skills matrix.
  5. Assisting in various HR initiatives such as performance reviews, employee engagement activities, and other HR programs to promote a positive work culture.
  6. Assisting in the preparation of meetings and practice events.
  7. Providing reception cover as and when required.
  8. Assisting and supporting the Senior Directors and the Practice Manager with other adhoc activities.
Ideal Candidate:
  1. At least 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within a HR department.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. A bright and positive personality with a “can do” attitude.
  4. Good organisational skills.
  5. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  6. Good attention to detail.
  7. Be a team player with the ability to take initiative and work in a pro-active manner.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

We are offering a salary of £14,700 (£24,500 FTE) for a 21 hour working week which can be worked flexibly across the working week.
