HR Assistant

About the Role:

Affinity Workforce Solutions are seeking an organised and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our business on a permanent basis, based in Bristol.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for someone to join an ambitious and growing company, offering a part-time and hybrid working patterns with a national organisation.

  • £26,000-£30,000 (FTE).
  • Part-Time (20 hours per week) £13,858 - £15,990 (actual salary).
  • Permanent role (Monday to Friday. 4 hours per day).
  • An additional holiday on your birthday.
  • Hybrid working pattern.

This role will be largely focused on the administrative side of HR, providing essential support to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Holiday Calculation and Management: Accurately calculate and track employee holiday entitlement.
  • Contract Generation: Prepare and issue employment contracts, amendments, and offer letters in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Document Consolidation: Organise, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of employee records and HR-related documents.
  • HR Administration: Support with overall administrative tasks such as updating employee databases, managing absence records, and processing HR-related queries, and monitoring and responding to enquiries sent to HR Inbox.
  • Onboarding and Leaver Processes: Assist with the onboarding and leaver processes, ensuring all paperwork and documentation is complete, recorded and stored appropriately, working closely with the Talent Acquisition Team.
  • HR Reporting: Assist with the preparation of HR reports and analysis, as required.
  • General HR Support: Provide administrative support across all HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in an HR Assistant / HR Administrator role.
  • Sound understanding of UK employment law and HR practices.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with others.
