HR Advisor (Resourcing)
Location: Belfast (with regular travel throughout Northern Ireland)
Salary: £31,495

We are working with a leading public sector organisation to recruit an experienced HR Advisor (Resourcing). The Role
The successful candidate will support senior HR leadership in the delivery of an efficient, professional, and customer-focused resourcing service. You'll play a vital role in shaping recruitment processes, advising stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with best practice and employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the delivery of workforce planning and recruitment strategy.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on recruitment and resourcing policies.
  • Ensure end-to-end resourcing activity complies with internal policy and relevant legislation.
  • Develop and review recruitment documentation (job descriptions, person specs, selection plans, etc.).
  • Collaborate with OD colleagues to implement candidate assessment methods.
  • Manage job advertising, candidate communication, and all pre-employment checks.
  • Deliver recruitment training and support to hiring managers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practice and resourcing trends.
  • Support broader HR project work and contribute to continuous service improvement.

What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria:

  • Degree in HR (Level 6) + 1 year of relevant HR experience,
    OR
    Level 5 HR qualification + 2 years' relevant HR experience (including employee resourcing)
  • Associate membership of CIPD (or ability to achieve within 12 months)
  • Experience in 3 or more of the following:
  • Advising on resourcing matters
  • Delivering end-to-end recruitment campaigns
  • Implementing resourcing policies and procedures
  • Producing HR reports or statistics
  • Sound knowledge of employment law related to recruitment
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer focus and attention to detail
  • Valid driving licence or access to transport to meet job needs

Desirable:

  • Experience leading a large-scale recruitment campaign
  • Public sector or local government HR experience
