Job description

Job Title: HR Advisor
Contract: 12 months
Location: Portsmouth, PO6
Salary: Competitive
Working Hours: 9am - 5.30pm
Working pattern: Hybrid
We are looking for an HR Advisor to join an organisation who are located in Portsmouth, covering a twelve month maternity contract.


Duties include:
  1. Collaborating with managers to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
  2. Meeting with new starters and leavers to ensure a smooth onboarding and offboarding process.
  3. Supporting wellbeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  4. Assisting with employee relations, such as absence and performance improvement.
  5. Answering queries and providing data insights (e.g., regional reporting, diversity metrics, staff lists, leavers, and movers' reports).
  6. Supporting team processes and checklists.
  7. Reviewing monthly payroll submissions.
  8. Maintaining people-related policies.
  9. Joining project teams to support continuous improvement.

Experience You'll Gain:
  1. General HR experience in a corporate environment.
  2. Exposure to the automotive, fleet, and leasing industries.

Key Experience & Skills:
  1. Previous HR Advisor experience.
  2. Knowledge of current employment legislation.
  3. Recruitment experience.
  4. Experience working in a fast-paced, corporate environment.
  5. A CIPD qualification is desirable.
