Job description

Job Title: HR Advisor
Contract: Permanent, 37.5 Hours
Location: Ripon
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000pa, dependent on experience

Please note this role is based on site 5 days per week. Candidates can also use the office in Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding Human Resources function within a highly commercial SME. It's an exciting business with a strong background and bright future! This role is at the heart of supporting their team of c150 employees to deliver a consistently high level of service while contributing to the company's ambitious growth plans.

The role would suit either an experienced HR Advisor or a HR Admin, Assistant or Coordinator looking for their first step into an Advisor role.

Main Duties

  1. Overseeing all aspects of the HR department - acting as a true generalist
  2. Supporting recruitment processes, including placing adverts, shortlisting candidates, arranging and conducting interviews, and attending careers fairs/events.
  3. Leading on internal comms and culture
  4. Supporting with employee relations
  5. Supporting with payroll
  6. Supporting initiatives to enhance staff engagement, retention, and the overall employee experience.

Person Specification

  1. Ideally CIPD qualified to Level 5 (or currently working towards this qualification).
  2. Proven generalist HR experience, preferably within an SME environment.
  3. Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels.
  4. Able to work on site 5 days per week
