HR Advisor - Leading Construction Company Salary: 40,000- 45,000 plus benefits plus Travel Paid (discretionary) Location: Close to Chancery Lane

Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of People, you will become involved in all aspects of HR/ER working as an HR Advisor.
Technical & Role Specific
Provide generalist HR support across the full employee life cycle and support wider HR projects.
Focus on talent management, performance management, employee relations, reward and recognition, succession planning, and HR initiatives.
Manage employment offers, references, new starter documentation, onboarding, and induction.
Advise and coach managers on resolving employee relations issues in line with policies and legal standards.
Support the Head of People with high-level employee relations.
Compile and create reports as required.
Develop and implement people policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date.
Support employee engagement initiatives to enhance the employee experience.
Stay current with changes in employment law and emerging trends.
Ensure operational excellence in HR service delivery and act as a backup for all HR Operations areas when needed.
Employee Relations
Manage and update the ER tracker to monitor key actions and deadlines.
Oversee probation-related processes, including extensions and failures.
Provide guidance on maternity and paternity cases.
Address sickness absence cases and lead formal meetings.
Support high-risk employee relations cases by preparing minutes, drafting letters, and attending meetings.
Conduct exit interviews for junior leavers and provide insights to reduce attrition and improve retention.
Systems / Payroll
Lead system updates.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR systems are up to date.
Collaborate with the Finance team to manage accurate and timely payroll processing.
Health & Safety
Ensure personal responsibility for health and safety in the office and on-site.
Stay informed about business safety protocols.
People & Team
Build and maintain effective relationships with managers and stakeholders.
Serve as a resource for employees on HR programs, practices, and processes.
Business Partnership
Collaborate with leaders to develop and drive talent outcomes and implement business and people strategies.
Administer programs to meet employee needs and drive engagement through targeted initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources or CIPD Level 3, or equivalent work experience.
Experience in a HR Department in either a HR Officer or HR Advisor role (Min 3/4 years).
Knowledge of HR practices, principles, and employment law.
Ability to interpret policies and provide pragmatic solutions.
Experience advising and supporting managers on employee relations matters.
Ability to handle matters confidentially and sensitively.
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
Strong business acumen and knowledge of the business and client group.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and manage deadlines.
