Job description

H9 Human Resources is hiring on behalf of our client, a well-respected leader in the professional services industry. We are currently looking for a skilled HR Advisor to join their dynamic HR team on a fixed-term contract, expected to last until January 2026. This role is based in Liverpool, with occasional travel to other UK offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and line managers across a variety of HR issues.
  2. Offer guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations matters.
  3. Manage a variety of employee relations cases, including performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance, restructuring, redundancy, and contract termination.
  4. Make Occupational Health referrals and support managers in implementing reasonable adjustments.
  5. Support with policy reviews and make recommendations for improvements where necessary.
  6. Assist with the preparation of formal HR paperwork and reports.
  7. Participate in HR-related projects, including diversity and inclusion, recruitment, and reward strategies.
  8. Collate and manage payroll information for monthly processing.
  9. Oversee HR records management in the central HR system.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Solid experience in a generalist HR or operational HR role, ideally within a professional services environment.
  2. Proven ability to manage employee relations cases in line with company policy and best practices.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Strong judgement and problem-solving capabilities, with an ability to manage challenging situations with professionalism.
  5. Experience working with HR systems and tools.
  6. CIPD Level 5 qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  7. A flexible, adaptable approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Willingness to occasionally work outside of standard office hours as needed.

Hours of Work:

Flexible working options available, with 3, 4, or 5 days per week considered. Working hours will be 9am-5pm.
