What You'll Do

As a HR Advisor, you'll provide expert guidance across the organisation, handling everything from complex employee relations cases to strategic policy development. You'll also:

  1. Lead on employee relations matters, providing authoritative advice to managers and staff
  2. Drive best practice in people management across the Council
  3. Develop innovative solutions for absence management and employee wellbeing
  4. Handle family-friendly policies and flexible working requests
  5. Contribute to the modernisation of HR policies and procedures
  6. Leverage HR analytics to inform decision-making and strategy

What You'll Bring

  1. CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent (essential)
  2. Proven experience as an HR Advisor
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and its practical application
  4. Strong relationship-building skills and stakeholder management ability
  5. Experience in change management and organisational development
  6. Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  7. Excellent communication skills and professional credibility

Package Details

  1. Salary: £33,854 - £36,638 per annum
  2. Hours: 37 hours per week
  3. Contract: Two-year fixed term
  4. Location: Hybrid working
  5. Additional benefits include local government pension scheme and flexible working arrangements
