Work as part of a collaborative and passionate Human Resources team providing support to managers within one of Australia’s largest mental health providers.

Fixed term part time opportunity working 22.8 hours a week until 30 June 2025.

Hybrid – 1 day a week in our Corporate office in Burnley & WFH.

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and motivated HR Advisor who can provide exceptional customer service and is looking to further build on their existing generalist HR skills for a part time opportunity until 30 June 2025 in the Burnley area. In this role, you will work alongside a high achieving team of HR Advisors and HR Partners to provide end to end recruitment and support the implementation of HR activities and projects.

The Human Resources Business Unit provides core support services in workforce management and development, payroll and remuneration and workplace health, safety and wellbeing. The Business Unit provides strategies, business processes and systems to enable efficient and effective management of these core support services to ensure Mind is financially sustainable, safe and technologically enabled.

The focus of the Human Resources Business Unit is to develop and support a flexible, sustainable and equitable workforce management model which is underpinned by the provision of appropriate, consistent and timely services, processes and information to managers and employees.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide end to end recruitment services to managers and offer advice on best practice and selection strategies to get the best candidate for a role.
  • Partner with Line Managers on the recruitment process including raising the request, advertising, shortlisting, screening and selection processes, candidate management, compliance checks, references and contracts.
  • Respond to general enquiries received to the HR inbox through the provision of advice relative to a range of Mind processes and systems and escalating relevant issues to HR Business Partners as required.
  • In consultation with the HR Business Partner support a range of projects and initiatives including change management, restructures, lunch and learns and other activities based on the HR Operating Plan.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or Administration (desirable) and / or significant experience in the provision of HR administrative support in the Health, Medical, Community Services field.
  • Previous experience working as an HR Generalist, HR Advisor, HR Administrator or Coordinator role.
  • Experience in end to end recruitment and selection of employees.
  • A strong customer focused mindset and ability to be responsive to the needs of the team and stakeholders and maintain positive relationships.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to positively contribute to the team and organisation culture.
  • Proven time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
