Job description

Divisional HR Advisor - Permanent

Salary: up to £39,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: The role is peripatetic, requiring regular and frequent travel between our Residential Care Homes situated in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, and Oxfordshire - Swindon would be the ideal location for this role, providing reasonable travel times/distances to the Trusts.

Hours of work: Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role:

Reporting to the HR Manager, the Divisional HR Advisor is the first point of contact in their allocated division or area for people issues. They support line managers and other colleagues by providing advice and guidance on employee relations and employee engagement.

The post-holder will adopt a partnering and coaching approach within a large and complex organisation in the social care regulated industry sector, always ensuring that HR interventions support the absolute priority of resident care and well-being.

About you:

You will be an experienced HR professional with proven success in advising, guiding, and coaching operational partners on a wide range of employee relations issues. In addition to:

  1. CIPD Level 5
  2. Experience/Qualification in Mediation desirable
  3. Up to date knowledge of employment law and experience of using this knowledge to provide sound advice on a wide range of Employee Relation matters.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Excellent attention to detail.
  6. Proven ability to work effectively to tight deadlines and in pressurized situations.
  7. Proven ability of balancing a wide range of different activities and conflicting demands.
  8. Previous experience of working in peripatetic roles advising multiple stakeholders in multiple sites.
  9. Proven ability to coach and influence key stakeholders.
