We are looking for a maternity cover HR Adviser commencing May 2025 with a passion for delivering high quality HR services to join the HR team here at Norfolk County Council. Do you have expertise in delivering HR support across the employee lifecycle? Are you able to advise and guide people, and deliver on projects?

Role

To be considered for the role, you’ll need to have previously worked in an HR role with a proven track record and you’ll be comfortable using your knowledge to provide advice and guidance. In addition, you will:

  • Demonstrate initiative and take clear ownership for your deliverables supported by your manager.
  • Be proactive and collaborative, but willing at the same time to challenge the status quo.
  • Be a good communicator that can build a reputation as a trusted adviser.
  • Be curious and analytical when it comes to assessing how we continuously improve our services.
  • Develop, build and maintain partnerships and networks, both internal and external.

In return, we can offer you a supportive environment, with a wealth of training and development opportunities to support your longer-term career development. We’re a busy team, so you’ll have lots to get involved with, and will be able to make a positive difference for our employees.

This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and office-based working. A physical presence in our Norwich office is required for a minimum of one day per week. We are committed to equal opportunities and improving the working lives of our employees and will consider applications to work flexibly, part-time or job share. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.

Contract starting May 2025 for up to 1 year as maternity cover.
