We are delighted to offer a part time HR Adviser role to cover maternity leave on a 12-month fixed term contract.
As a generalist HR Adviser at Bracknell Forest Council, you will play a vital role in shaping effective and positive employment relationships. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will provide expert advice and guidance to employees and managers on a wide range of HR matters. You will support with handling complex disciplinary and grievance cases to leading organisational change initiatives, driving performance improvements and supporting employees with health and long-term absence issues. Your work will directly impact the success and wellbeing of our workforce.
The HR team works alongside the council’s Recruitment, Payroll and Organisational Development teams. Within the team there are five HR Advisers, an Assistant HR Adviser and an HR Apprentice. Together we support approximately 1,300 employees.
We encourage flexible working but you will be required to work from our Bracknell office at least once a week and be able to travel to other local sites to provide support on occasions.
You will be supporting the Place and Resources departments on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. We are looking for a proactive HR professional who thrives in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to confidently advise at all levels.
