Job description

BDS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader to join the team, managing a team of support workers to provide housing support and management services to a range of vulnerable clients in the Sunderland area.


Full time position Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.


Rate of Pay: £19.36 per hour PAYE to £25.29 per hour UMB.


You will be working with a diverse client group, including young people, homeless and prison leavers. Responsibilities include:

  1. Effectively lead and deliver services which comply with the regulatory framework.
  2. Meeting service quality standards and ensuring your team are adhering to all operational and policy standards.
  3. Be the accountable lead for the service.
  4. Ensuring all service user support and safety plans are in place, are in date and reflect individual needs.
  5. Ensuring your staff team understand and meet the agreed financial standards on voids, arrears and re-lets.
  6. Lead the team by example by upholding the company's values and behaviours and translating those into everyday activity.
  7. Be prepared to make difficult decisions and support direct reports to make difficult decisions.
  8. Take responsibility for all aspects of people management including managing the recruitment, attendance, conduct and performance of direct reports using the appropriate policies and procedures.
  9. Positively promote and represent the company at all times, building strong relationships with colleagues to work as part of an integrated team focused on meeting the needs of service users/learners.
  10. Adhere to the company's Safeguarding and data policies and procedures at all times and comply with legislation and statutory duties and data controls protocols and ensure that your team understand and deliver their responsibilities.

You will need an adult and child enhanced DBS already in place, ideally on the update portal prior to applying for this position.

You will need to be a driver with access to a car and correct business insurance.
