Housing Skills Coach – Apprenticeships

Inspire, coach, and support learners to succeed. Up to £36k negotiable plus great benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, healthcare, support, CPD, mileage, IT kit (some travel). Salary will be reviewed once you've passed your CAVA.

Location: Manchester, Northwest (Hybrid with visits to the office in Yorkshire once or twice a month)

The Role

As a Housing Skills Coach, you’ll teach, coach, and guide learners through their apprenticeship journey, helping them develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors they need to succeed. Using a blend of in-person and virtual sessions, you’ll deliver engaging training, monitor progress, and support learners to achieve their goals, including preparation for End-Point Assessment (EPA).

The senior housing and property management occupation in both social and private housing sectors is responsible for the management and delivery of housing and property-related services within their business and service area(s). The learners you will work with will be involved with the management of resources with delegated authority to deliver the business objectives. The work must comply with contractual, statutory, and legal regulations. The senior housing and property manager manages a specific function and associated team(s) whilst working with the wider organisation, team, communities, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver engaging training aligned with apprenticeship standards.
2. Support learners in achieving English, Maths, and ICT functional skills at Level 2.
3. Conduct regular progress reviews and visits to ensure development and success.
4. Collaborate with line managers to provide learners with the guidance they need.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, standards, and best practices.
6. Promote safeguarding, British values, and learner well-being throughout the programme.
7. Handle administration tasks and compliance within set deadlines.

What We’re Looking For

1. Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in your field + Assessor Award (D32/33 or TAQA) and/OR Teaching Certificate PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS/PGCE/Cert Ed.
2. Experience: Apprenticeship delivery, assessment, and knowledge of government-funded training ideally.
3. Skills: Strong communication, IT proficiency, and the ability to motivate and guide learners.
4. Mindset: Self-motivated, organized, and passionate about developing others.
