Job description

Spirehouse is currently exclusively recruiting for a Housing Manager (Temporary Accommodation) on behalf of a Housing Association in Bradford.

The Opportunity:

This is a 6-month interim opportunity where you will lead the day-to-day management of the IHM service including investigating ASB complaints, ensuring service charge payments are collected, and identifying long-term housing solutions for families and single people.

Duties:

1. Provide oversight in the management of the Intensive Housing Management (IHM) tenants within the associations areas of operation.
2. Oversee the successful rehousing of all IHM tenants.
3. Work in partnership with all agencies to support the rehousing of all housing tenants including local government, registered providers, and private landlords.
4. Oversee any possession action in relation to IHM tenants.
5. Ensure services are provided in line with legislation and local policy including the proposed Renters Rights Act.
6. Place the resident at the centre of the organisation, ensuring customer needs are taken account for in the delivery of housing services.
7. Work with the Operations Manager to deliver services that achieve or exceed challenging targets.
8. Develop relevant policies and procedures that support consistently high levels of performance.

Further information:

1. 37 hours per working week.
2. Monday - Friday (Flexible working, as long as 37 hours are met).
3. £32.00 - £36.00 per hour dependent on experience.
4. Immediate start.
5. 6 months interim opportunity.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in managing a small team.
2. Minimum of 3 years' experience of working within a housing service.
3. Extensive experience around housing legislation particularly Temporary Accommodation.
4. Full UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
5. Enhanced DBS check.
