Job Description:

Our client based in the West Midlands is currently recruiting for a locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to join the team on an initial 3-month contract.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, and the hourly rate is negotiable, subject to PQE.

The role can be conducted remotely, but the successful candidate will need to attend court in the West Midlands.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Handling and advising on a general caseload of housing litigation matters focused on ASB and disrepair claims, and attending court hearings in the West Midlands area as required.
  • Advising on matters including possession claims, fraud, and injunctions for tenancy breaches.
  • Leading prosecutions against unscrupulous landlords for various offences.
  • Attending the County Court and Magistrates Court, including dealing with the Court lists.

Experience required:

  • Strong housing law experience.
  • Able to manage and attend own court hearings.

  • 37 hours per week.
  • Monday – Friday.
