Job description

Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a Housing Association who are seeking a Housing Lawyer to assist the team with Housing Law matters. Please find below further details with regards to this role.

Please note that this role would be hybrid working (1 or 2 days per week in the office)

The Role of the Housing Lawyer
  • To independently manage a full caseload of Housing Litigation matters through to completion
  • Matters will include rent possessions, anti-social behaviour injunctions, housing disrepair and homelessness
  • Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate experience of handling a complex caseload of this nature including drafting and advocacy
The Person
  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE
  • Previous experience of progressing disrepair and housing prosecutions work would be essential
  • Working experience at a public sector authority would also be highly beneficial for this role
  • Experience of working for a local authority or social landlord in this context
