About Us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037. Together with our partners, we support over 14,000 young people each year.
As a Housing First Officer, you will need to have strong people skills in order to build psychologically informed relationships with young people. You will also need excellent communication, organisational and advocacy skills. We are looking for people with experience of working with young people or adults with multiple and complex needs, preferably in an outreach or floating support capacity.
Housing First is a complex needs support service, designed to work creatively, flexibly and at Young Persons pace who struggle to engage with services and housing providers.
The Housing First team works with Young People that have been referred into the service to actively engage them into the community and sustain their tenancies. We work within a strength based, person led approach. We support the Young Person to identify their goals and needs and support them to overcome the barriers they may have in accessing services. We support them to be independent and live fulfilling lives.
