Housekeeper (Cleaning / Laundry / Childcare / Pets)

Private Housekeeper Wanted – 20 hours per week working Mondays, Wednesday, Thursday. Flexible Weekend & Ad-Hoc Work required.

We are a professional family looking for a housekeeper to join our busy home.

We seek a dedicated and trustworthy housekeeper to assist with a variety of household tasks. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working with children and pets (DBS check will be required).

We live in a 5-bedroom house and need someone to help keep on top of the daily running of the home, ideally with a great eye for detail (and cobwebs!).

We have two wonderful children (5 and 7) and while we are not looking for a nanny, there would be the expectation that the right person would help with the children when needed (specifically during the holidays).

Regular duties are detailed below. We would also love the right person to be available for very occasional weekend work (this will be planned well in advance) to look after our dogs and sometimes the children.

We love to cook, but there are times when we would ask for help in meal prepping for the children.

Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Household:

• General home cleaning, including dusting & hoovering. Bed & sheet changes when needed.
• General home organising as and when required.
• Sometimes doing a shop or helping to put away deliveries.

Laundry & Ironing:

• Washing, drying, and ironing clothes and linens.

Pet Care:

• When needed, feeding & walking. This would be mainly weekend work and on an ad hoc basis. We have four dogs that are out with us most of the time anyway.

Childcare:

• Supervising and engaging with children, helping with activities and routines (especially during the holidays).
• Meal Preparation
• Occasional pick up from school (Car provided).

Weekend Work:

• Some weekend work is required when the family is away. This may be dog sitting or looking after the children, occasionally both. Overnight stays will be required. These would be asked for with advanced notice!

Requirements:

• Experience in housekeeping and childcare preferred.
• Comfortable around pets (especially dogs).
• Flexible availability for weekend work and occasional overnight stays on an ad-hoc basis.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £15,000.00-£17,000.00 per year
