Qualifications

  • Kenntnisse über COSHH und Gesundheits- und Sicherheitsanforderungen.

Nursery: Bright Horizons Annandale Street Day Nursery and Preschool

Hours: 40 Hours/ Mon-Fri

Location: Edinburgh

Salary: From £11.95PH

We are looking for a full-time, nursery-based Housekeeper to join our Bright Horizons Annandale St Nursery.

Our nursery is a 59 place setting located in Leith, Edinburgh, it is only a 10 minute walk from Waverley Station, with local bus routes nearby.

What you’ll be doing
  • Keep the nursery a clean and safe environment for the children, staff, and families
  • Encourage and model behaviour that is appropriate in a child environment, being professional at all times
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the children’s bathroom and nappy change areas throughout the day
  • Carry out daily laundry duties as required
  • Respond appropriately to issues requiring confidentiality, for example, being aware of personal information regarding children
  • Be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking certain domestic tasks within the nursery e.g., supporting over mealtimes and cleaning of equipment
What we’re looking for
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent) – this must be passed on day 1 in post
  • Previous experience of cleaning within a domestic or commercial property, preferably in a nursery or care home setting
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety requirements
  • Great communication skills, with both colleagues, children, and parents
