The ideal candidate will start in the position towards the end of June and will have previous experience within an IHG branded Hotel.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead the 183-bedroom Holiday Inn Express Southampton on a 12-month maternity contract. This role is ideal for candidates who have proven leadership skills, extensive IHG experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. As the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a dedicated team to deliver the brand standards set by IHG.

Oversee financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to maximize revenue and profitability. Manage all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to ensure the hotel is well-staffed and compliant with all labour regulations. Develop and implement marketing strategies and initiatives to drive occupancy and brand visibility within the local market. Ensure health and safety, security, and compliance with legal requirements are met at all times.

1. Previous experience in an IHG branded Hotel.
2. Experience within any hotel at Operations Manager/ Deputy GM level or higher.
