Job description

We’re searching for a host to join our team at The Blues Kitchen.

We’re looking for a Host with a warm presence and a genuine approach to hospitality. You’ll be the first face our guests see—managing the door, coordinating bookings, and setting the tone for a great night. This is a high-volume, late-night venue, so we’re after someone who stays calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and keeps things running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing

1. Greeting and seating guests with confidence and care
2. Managing bookings, walk-ins, and waitlists
3. Supporting the front-of-house team during busy services
4. Coordinating with the floor and kitchen to maintain flow
5. Creating a calm, welcoming front-of-house environment

What We’re Looking For

1. Experience in a guest-facing role
2. Comfortable in a fast-paced, late-night setting
3. Strong communication and organisation skills
4. Friendly, reliable, and professional
5. Keen to grow within a hospitality-focused team

What To Expect

1. Competitive Pay: £12.50 per hour plus tronc (total package usually in the range of £15-17 per hour). Hourly wages paid every two weeks on a Friday and tronc is paid on the last Friday of the month.
2. The Blues Kitchen is a lively bar, restaurant and music venue meaning our teams work a variety of daytime and evening shifts over the course of the week.
