Job description

Are you a dynamic and experienced leader ready to make a meaningful impact? Remeo Hospital, part of the Active Care Group, is seeking a dedicated Hospital Director to lead our service to excellence in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Remeo is founded on improving the quality of life for people with complex respiratory ventilation requirements, through achieving the highest standard of specialist patient care. Remeo wish to innovate every area of our respiratory service for the benefit of our patients and customers.

As the Hospital Director, you will take full ownership of the service, ensuring it operates to the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will lead and inspire your team, maintain regulatory excellence, drive occupancy, and achieve financial and operational targets while prioritising the well-being of patients and staff.

What you'll be working:

Our standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Maintain registration and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CQC) while upholding a culture of continuous improvement, making sure the service and all colleagues are always inspection ready.
  2. Drive patient-centred care through comprehensive assessments and care plans.
  3. Maintain up to date knowledge of all ACG Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) making sure that all processes are adhered to and regularly monitored to ensure compliance.
  4. Lead your team with a focus on professional development, engagement, and well-being, drawing on the ACG Leadership principles, and creating an environment where feedback is welcomed and acted upon.
  5. Build relationships with commissioners, families, and external stakeholders.
  6. Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, staffing, and resource management.
  7. Take responsibility for attaining and maintaining maximised bed occupancy, through appropriate marketing and referral processing.
  8. Serve as an ambassador for Remeo Hospital, raising its profile in the community.
  9. Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights.

What you'll have:

  1. Passion and dedication to providing person centred care and ensuring the people we support are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
  2. Proven management experience in health and social care, within a CQC-regulated service.
  3. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma).
  4. Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory landscape, and legislation framework.
  5. Working knowledge of governance processes.
  6. Previous experience leading and inspiring a senior team and management of varying disciplines.
  7. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  8. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.

Remeo Healthcare Ltd, as part of Active Care Group, will operate the Lane Fox Remeo Respiratory Centre in conjunction with Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, together with delivering community care for people requiring specialised respiratory support in the UK.

Remeo as a service will also continue to operate internationally, outside of the Active Care Group.
