Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs?
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Maths, English, and Science Tutors to support students with work in the comfort of their own homes. As a tutor, you will be working one-on-one with students, helping them achieve their full potential in their academic subjects while fostering a supportive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide personalised tutoring sessions in Maths, English, and Science for students with SEN, adapting your teaching methods to their specific needs.
* Create tailored learning plans to address individual strengths, challenges, and goals.
* Build confidence and motivation through encouraging and engaging teaching practices.
* Maintain progress reports and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
* Travel to the student’s home for in-person sessions (locations will vary).
Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
* Strong background in at least one of the following subjects: Maths, English, or Science.
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
* Ability to develop individualised learning strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Access to reliable transport for home visits.
Desirable:
* Teaching qualification or experience in SEN education.
* Knowledge of specific SEN conditions, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, SEMH, Complex Needs.
